Your QR code points to a dead web site. Brilliant.

Really? For me it points to a Market link taking you to Searchify.

Oh, if you haven’t got Android 1.6 though, you won’t be able to see Searchify in the Market, so that could explain it.

It seems that sarchify isn’t available on market for some countries (Poland).

Searchify should be available in all countries. You need Android 1.6 or higher to see it in the market though. If you’ve got 1.6 but still can’t see Searchify, let me know. Thanks.

Hi ! Excellent and great app! Thank you very much indeed!

I usually use Yubnub and add this url : http://yubnub.org/parser/parse?command=% and use “and” as a keyword. When i run the command it take me to the Yubnub page with the command post in the search box, but doesn’t run automatically, so I have to press enter to run it.

My question is : Is it possible that rather than stagnate in the page for YubNub command run automatically?

Thanks in advance. I’ll await your response

Hi LK5. I’m not very familiar with YubNub, but the url you mention looks like it’s missing an “s” at the end – it should be http://yubnub.org/parser/parse?command=%s

I’ve tried it with the correct url and it works fine for me.

Hi John. Thanks for the feedback. I’ve had a couple of reports of it doing that, but I haven’t seen it myself. Can you please tell me: 1) what region/timezone are you in? 2) Does this happen for all events, or is it just All Day events, or events with certain times?

I am running android 2.1 and cannot fin Searchify in the market. I have tried queries such as “searchify”, “quick search”, “search”. I scrolled all the way down the list after each query and have not found it. Is there anywhere that I can download the apk file to put on my phone? I am very interested in trying this app, but cannot download it anywhere.

Very nice. Thank you. I was surprised that there was no inherent calendar search. Your program fills the bill and more.

    Hi,
    Great app
I am having the same problem that John reported. The calendar search for custom recurring events is a day off. I am in NJ. Seems to happen with day events, weekly events and montly events. I have a droid… version 2.1

Thanks for the reports of that calendar search problem. I’ve found the cause, and am about to release a new version (1.1.2) that should fix the issue.

Hi Steve. The best way to find it is to go to the Android Market and search for “Searchify”.

Please help me use Searchify to search for a calendar event on my Droid 2 calendar. If on my home screen I start typing “cal colors” or “calendar colors,” for example, I get as results web sites that talk about changing colors on a Google calendar instead of an event that I have in my calendar that has to do with our flag. When I tap the Google “g” symbol at the top of the search box, I do see Searchify there.

OMGosh! This app Rocks!! Big Time! My favorite feature is the smooth-scrolling from month to month without the annoying refresh between each month! The beta is over on 11/1st. How long before it’s available again? Please say you wont leave me ‘ Touch Calendar-less’ for long!? Im already spoiled now on calendar goodness! Dont send us back to the doldrums!

Great app thanks, just a +1 on the above comment unless I am missing something. It looked first off like searchify did currency conversion – eg if I type usd gbp it will show me that 1 US Dollar = 0.63 GB Pounds but wherever I put an amount in my search term I can’t seem to make it give me the appropriate amount in the search results eg I’ve tried 9142 usd, 9142 usd gbp, usd 9142 gbp, usd gbp 9142 – what am I missing? Thanks!

Hi Lisa. Searchify does not have a currency conversion feature. However in some versions of Android the Google search facility does currency conversion, so that must be what you saw.

I think you need a floating buttonin the rightbottom corner that would bring you home to today in the upper right hand corner with a default of a five day view business week

Hey guys–thanks for a great looking app! MUCH NEEDED FEATURE!!

A must have feature request–please, please, please, build in the option to duplicate or copy/paste events for those many of us that have a need for re-occurring events. I’m a psychologist and have a need to copy/paste a calendar event to another date without having to re-enter all of the information over and over again. I’m willing to pay a good price for a calendar app that does this.

This is just a great app, thank You!
How could I enable a local search at my sd?
When I enter as my one search “/sd/%s” searchify finds anything in the root of my sd, but not in any directory.
And, when I click on the found item, the browser gets opend for the search result, but not for example explorer or pdf-viewer for that files.
Is that possible in any other way?

For some reason tapping isn’t sensitive. When i tap a day to edit an event, it doesn’t respond. It happens everytime. It’s not the phone because the screen is very sensitive in other apps. Please let me know why it’s happening. Thanks

Loving this app. Just a few things I’ve thought of: 1) adding an end point to recurring events, such as, “…for x week(s)”. 2) changing “Every week” to “Every x week(s)”. 3) add ability to duplicate events. 4) option to make just a reminder instead of an event. I hope these help. Thanks.

    Hi.

Your Touch-calendar APP is a very good thing.
At the next version i have a good idea for you.
It shuld be possible to choose the colour in the background of the day. For example, all holyday´s are blue and all work day´s are white.

It was also a very good thing when you create a WIDGET.
It should be possible to see the actuelly day and the next day in a small box at the desctop of the mobile.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind Regards,
    Dominik (AUSTRIA)

Great calender, easy to use. However, not being able to change, edit, delete is a real problem. I have many entries change but since I can’t delete or move to another date I end up having multiple entries. Can be hard to keep track of.

Am I missing something? Or will the dates be editable-moveable etc in the future?

  37. olilan
    October 26th, 2010 at 21:31 | #37

Yes, you should be able to edit and delete events. Tap an event to open it, then press MENU and you should see edit and delete options.

I really like this calendar. Is there any way to change color of fonts on each event? My work changes from day to day and it would be nice to see a difference in work and other events.
    Thanks Oli

  39. olilan
    November 3rd, 2010 at 16:22 | #39

Yes, this is possible. The colours for events come from Google Calendar, so to have events with different colours you should create different calendars on the Google Calendar web page http://google.com/calendar (on a PC).

people not able to edit events: I think this depends on the ROM/native calendaring system. I have this prob in general, but I’m running CyanogenMod ROM. When I briefly ran a Sense-based ROM, “edit” was available.

    Hello There

I have been looking for a decent Calendar on my HTC Hero for a few days Now,

The standard calendar as you know shows a month by month view and when you input data into a specific day all that shows up is some sort of graphic, usually a triangle in the corner that says you have something going on that day,

Which does not work for me, what i been looking for is something you can view and just by viewing it will tell you what you have written on that day, JUST like looking at a paper calendar,

your Touch Calendar does Just that, IM VERY impressed.

I Think you have the best calendar out there thus far.

But I do have some issues i would like to address and wouldnt mind your feed back on my suggestions.

I see you have the whole year in one scrollable calendar, which is all right if you want to quickly scroll up and down the months, but what if, like a standard calendar, have only 1 month showing at a time and scroll “pages” forward or back months, so the calendar doesnt look so busy ?

And even separating the months into different colors so there easily distinguishable ?

or have an option for the yearly view as is standard or an option for a month view, and you can switch back and fourth ?

Also I took the normal calendar widget off my home screen and am hoping you can create a touch calendar widget for your app, i see a lot of people are asking for it, but im impressed so far and would even go as far to say i would actually pay for this calendar should you upgrade it and add what i have suggested or even just making a widget so i can use one of my hero home screens for your calendar.

Again Thank you for this great calendar App, I hope to hear back from you on what you have panned for this app,

    thanks for your Time,

    Hi Olilan,
Really like your Touch Calendar, but noticed twice now that an event disappeared after I edited an event. I just tried it again and I can repeat it:
I have an weekly event, with an reminder, and if I change the Alarm from “on time” to something else like “5 min before”, it just disappears??
    Have you seen this before.
Oh by the way I am using a Samsung Galaxy running 2.1
